Have you ever sat down and thought, “What’s the best possible way to burn two-point-seven million bucks?” If the answer is “Buy a Rimac Nevera R hypercar,” then chances are you’re one of the Founding Fathers. Not those who put their signature on the Declaration of Independence in 1776, but Rimac Nevera R Founders. Only ten people around the world got this title.
Introduced in August 2024, the Rimac Nevera R became the flagship of the Croatian House of Speed, with 2,107 horsepower, 268 mph (431 kph), a 7.89-second standing quarter-mile sprint, and a cool 2.3 million euros (around $2.7 million at the December 2025 exchange rate) for each of the forty build slots slated for production. Mate Rimac, the brainiac behind the electric hypercar’s existence, and also boss of Bugatti, likes to keep his clients close, and his company took this relationship a step above and beyond what “regular” hypercar companies normally do.
Enter the Founder’s Edition of the Rimac Nevera R - a ten-unit batch allotted to hand-picked clients of the brand. Each one got the keys from Mate himself (in all fairness, the Croatian did the same with all his customers), but this time i’m not talking about the keys to the cars themselves, but to an entire experience, reserved for the closest of the close.
Naturally, it all starts with the car - or, more aptly put, with a personal customization process where buyers pay a visit to the Rimac Campus in Zagreb, sit down with the man himself, and the design team, and configure their Nevera R Founder’s Edition down to the absolute last element that can be personalized. In real time, using Virtual Reality Enterprise Design (VRED) to choose colors, materials, or other finishing touch-ups.

That’s just for starters: as long as they keep their Nevera R Founder’s Edition, each of the original ten customers gets a company card that allows them to walk right into Bugatti Rimac Headquarters. Nice, isn’t it? Add priority to product previews and private events like record-breaking sessions or other various closed-door sessions.
But the best part is the right to sit at the table with Bugatti Rimac brass hats and discuss strategy or research and development decisions for the future of the company. And that’s before it gets really personal: each of the ten is entitled to a fully individual treatment, with unique benefits and spoils.
Naturally, the cars themselves mimic this bespoke relationship between the hypercarmaker and its customers. Two-tone livery, making use of the car’s profile as a divider between the two shades along its length, creates the visual illusion of an even lower and poised car than the regular Nevera R.

A central longitudinal stripe along the roof, measuring just two millimeters in its thinnest part, showcases the “cravat” theme customary for Rimac, complemented by circuit board graphics. Door panel embroidery harkens back to the origins of the company - the garage era, when Mate was building his dream in a one-car garage at his parents’ house. The Concept_One’s launch and the present day are also hailed in the upholstery.
Expectedly, no two cars will be even remotely similar, but each one will bear the highest level of handcrafted artisanry, from stitching to ornamentation. But not one of the Rimac clients buys a 2,100-hp electric missile for looks and art. The Croatians provide driver training from the Nevera and Nevera R test team. Then, Mate takes care of the delivery himself.
“I wanted to find a way to thank the visionary individuals who helped shape this path — and to invite ten of them to experience our world in a completely new way. Not only through a remarkable car, but through a deeper connection to what makes Rimac unlike anything else.” Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac
